South Africa is a country with complex problems. Too many people do not have access to formal tertiary education due to a variety of reasons, especially a lack of resources. A community centre with an accredited training facility is well-placed to reach and produce professionals and skilled artisans who are competitive and highly attractive to employers or equipped to establish their own businesses.
The Wykes Foundation is based in the West of Johannesburg in Hursthill, next to Hursthill, next to Westdene, a community with a great heritage which has produced many leaders in politics, business, academia and civic organisations.
Our centre is however intent on providing a service to all community members
